Dr. Martens is a traditional British footwear brand, they are also known as Doctor Martens, Doc Martens, Docs or DM's. Dr Martens are distinct mostly because of their unique air cushioned sole which was developed by the Griggs family in the Cobb's Lane factory. Also their upper shape, welted construction and yellow stitching are features which are difinitive of a Doc Marten. They are one of the most popular and well-known footwear brands in the world, and are iconic to the fashion industry.
Some of the Dr Martens manufacturing has been moved overseas, we were concerned at first here at Steptoes, but have since seen that the quality has been unaffected by this move and Dr Martens are still producing high quality, long lasting comfortable footwear.
